Daol TS Reports 46% Year-on-Year Growth in Storage Revenue in First Half

Daol TS (CEO Hong Jeong-hwa, hereinafter Daol TS), the official distributor of Dell Technologies in Korea, has grown for six consecutive quarters since establishing a dedicated storage business team in 2019.
Daol TS announced that it grew 46% in the storage business sector in the first half of 2023 compared to the same period last year.
The company explained that Daol TS's rapid growth in the storage business sector during the first half of this year was due to the effectiveness of its business strategy for "external storage and data protection solutions."
In fact, Daol TS has been conducting related business since July 2019 by forming a dedicated storage business team to actively promote the storage business. In the early stages of the business, Daol TS carried out aggressive marketing by hosting incentive programs and regular partner seminars, and the size of the storage business team, which was newly established in 2019, grew by more than double.
As a result of these efforts, Daol TS's storage business was able to achieve continuous growth over the past six quarters, and in particular, the data protection solution and unstructured data storage sectors recorded growth of 252% and 120% year-on-year in terms of revenue, respectively.
In addition, in the fourth quarter of last year, the company secured a number of large-scale projects in the public and financial sectors, growing its annual storage revenue by 103% in 2022 compared to 2021.
Hong Jeong-hwa, CEO of Daol TS, stated, “I believe the continuous and record-breaking growth of the storage business is the result of the competitiveness built through Daol TS’s continuous investment.” She added, “As the AI market expands, the domestic storage market also holds infinite growth potential. Daol TS will continue to invest and strive to secure the competitiveness to provide total solutions tailored to customer requirements.”
Meanwhile, Daol TS established the 'AI Infrastructure Strategy Office' under the direct supervision of the CEO as of July 1, 2023, to effectively respond to the AI market.
The AI Infrastructure Strategy Office is responsible for developing AI infrastructure strategies, designing infrastructure architecture, and supporting infrastructure construction and operations.
In addition, they are responsible for investigating and researching the latest technology trends to plan and promote the introduction of new technologies that can meet customer needs.
Daol TS plans to provide new business growth opportunities by enabling customers to implement AI infrastructure strategies more effectively through its AI Infrastructure Strategy Office.

Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. Ecolab Expands AI Data Center Cooling Business Through Acquisition of CoolIT
Ecolab has agreed to acquire CoolIT Systems, a liquid cooling company for AI data centers, for approximately $4.75 billion. The transaction is expected to close by Q3 2026, subject to regulatory approvals. CoolIT has been supplying direct-to-chip cooling-based coolant distribution units, cold plates, and manifolds, serving hyperscale data centers and colocation operators as customers. This acquisition is a measure to address the high-heat and high-density server environments created by AI proliferation.
