The Hydrogen Convergence Alliance (Chairman Jae-do Moon, hereinafter referred to as H2KOREA) has established a foundation for hydrogen industry cooperation between Korea and Poland.

On the 14th, H2KOREA signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Polish Hydrogen Association (Chairman Pawel Piotrowicz, Director Tomoho Umeda, hereinafter referred to as H2POL) in Warsaw, Poland, to establish a foundation for cooperation in the hydrogen industry between the two countries.

Recently, Korea and Poland have been making continuous efforts to strengthen industrial cooperation, and the Korean economic delegation dispatched in conjunction with the President's visit to Poland participated in the 'Korea-Poland Business Forum' on July 14.

At this forum, H2KOREA Chairman Moon Jae-do chaired Session 3: Energy and Infrastructure Cooperation, and presided over discussions on various issues, including Poland's energy security and infrastructure development and Ukraine's reconstruction.

Additionally, on the occasion of this forum, an MOU signing ceremony was held in the presence of the ministers of both countries (Lee Chang-yang, Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy of Korea, and Waldemar Buda, Minister of Economic Development and Technology of Poland).

Through this agreement, the two organizations agreed to create opportunities for cooperation, including joint hosting and support of regular meetings and events involving the public, private, industrial, academic, and research sectors, the discovery of international business models through exchange and cooperation support between companies, and support for hydrogen policies and systems, while also laying the foundation for the development of the hydrogen ecosystem.

Meanwhile, H2POL last year H2Poland, the first hydrogen industry exhibition in Poland, has contributed to the development of hydrogen technology by serving as a hydrogen industry cooperation platform for Central and Eastern European companies and organizations.

H2KOREA, as the chairman of the Global Hydrogen Industrial Association Alliance (GHIAA), Chairman Moon Jae-do recommended H2POL's participation on this day, and H2POL Director Tomoho Umeda expressed his intention to attend the GHIAA general meeting and forum on September 14, which is expected to be the first opportunity for cooperation between the two organizations.
