Axxes, a leader in automated toll collection systems, is joining Avanci Aftermarket for essential patent licensing, effectively supporting patented technologies used in automotive aftermarket devices.

AVANCI announced today that Axxes, a European innovator in automated toll collection systems, has joined the AVANCI aftermarket program.

Axe has over 40,000 customers in Europe and its devices are currently installed in over 300,000 vehicles on the road.

The Avansi Aftermarket platform, which includes around 40 companies holding essential patents related to 4G, 3G, and 2G, provides licenses for connected products installed in vehicles after the car is sold.

As a patent licensee, Axe has obtained a license to the wireless patented technology, enabling it to drive innovation in the European interoperable Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) market.
