Avanci, a global leader in the co-licensing solutions market, is launching a 5G connected vehicle licensing program that includes most essential mobile communications patents.

Avancy announced on the 17th the Avancy 5G Vehicle Program, which simplifies the licensing of mobile communication technology for next-generation connected vehicles.

This program licenses standard patented technologies essential for 5G, 4G, 3G, and 2G connectivity, including Vehicle-to-Everything (C-V2X) communication, which enables vehicles to communicate directly with other vehicles, bicycles, pedestrians, and traffic infrastructure.

The Avancy 5G Vehicle Program is joined from the start by 58 patent holders and one licensee, and the licenses under this program cover most of the standard patented technologies essential for implementing mobile communication connectivity.

Avancy's new program is built upon the success of the Avancy 4G Vehicle program. Currently, more than 130 million connected vehicles from over 80 automotive brands worldwide are driving under the Avancy 4G Vehicle license.
