The Korean fabless industry, once known as a wasteland for system semiconductors, is showcasing the strength of domestic edge AI semiconductors to the world through a tour of global IT exhibitions. DeepX, a domestic fabless company, has garnered attention for its bold global expansion aimed at securing a leading position in the edge AI market.

DeepX, a company with source technology for artificial intelligence semiconductors, will participate in 'IFA Berlin 2023,' the world's largest consumer electronics exhibition held in Berlin, Germany, becoming the first Korean AI semiconductor company to do so.

Through this exhibition, DeepX showcased advanced AI semiconductor solutions for 'AI technology for everyone, everywhere,' laying the groundwork to target the European market, which is home to major home appliance companies such as Germany's Bosch and Miele, Sweden's Electrolux, and the UK's Dyson, and is active in adopting IT devices equipped with new technologies.

DeepX participated in 'VivaTech,' Europe's largest startup event held in France last May, and engaged in technology exchanges with European Tier 1 automakers, automakers, and mobile carriers, confirming the potential to target the AI market. Subsequently, an exhibition booth will be set up in the Global Market Hall targeting B2B companies at 'IFA Berlin 2023,' which will be held in Berlin, Germany from September 1 to 5. Following this, a visit to 'IAA Mobility 2023,' held in Munich, Germany from the 5th to the 10th, is also scheduled to hold promotional events with major European automakers.

At this year's IFA Berlin, DeepX plans to continuously highlight its AI semiconductor technology, which holds a global super-gap in terms of the latest AI algorithms, AI computational accuracy, power efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. To this end, we plan to showcase a real-time demo running the latest AI algorithms using a small camera module and an M.2 module equipped with DeepX’s Neural Processing Unit (NPU), which can be applied to smart cameras, smart mobility, robots, smart home appliances, etc.

In addition, they plan to introduce a real-time demo running AI algorithms for robots by integrating their M.2 module with Orange Pi, an open embedded platform with a rich ecosystem.

According to consulting firm McKinsey, the global smart mobility market is projected to reach approximately $1.5 trillion by 2030, while a report by Grand View Research predicts that the global smart home appliance market will reach $58.51 billion by 2030.

DeepX plans to establish a strategy to expand its business scope beyond the smart mobility and smart home appliance markets to smart cameras, machine vision, and factory automation through four all-in-one solutions that meet the performance and functionality desired by customers for each application, and will meet with local customers to discuss business cooperation.

Meanwhile, DeepX plans to accelerate its global sales efforts, including securing clients and expanding its ecosystem through dedicated local organizations, by participating in the AI Hardware & Edge AI Summit in Silicon Valley, USA, the AI International Expo in Chongqing, China, and Supercomputing 23 in Denver, USA, immediately after the IFA Berlin and IAA Mobility events in Germany.
