Unveiling a portfolio of battery products and technologies, including new materials and form factors.
Cooling systems added to the top and bottom of the battery, enhancing performance and safety.

Samsung SDI has prepared a venue to introduce its next-generation lineup and premium battery products, including all-solid-state batteries, 46-pie cylindrical batteries, NMX, and LMFP (Lithium, Manganese, Iron, Phosphate).

Samsung SDI will operate an exhibition hall consisting of a PRiMX zone and an ESG zone under the theme of 'PRiMX, Experience the Best' at 'IAA 2023', held in Munich, Germany from the 5th to the 10th (local time).

Above all, at this year's exhibition, Samsung SDI will unveil an expanded portfolio of battery products and technologies, highlighting new materials and form factors.

In particular, we introduce batteries that use cobalt-free materials such as NMX and LMFP, which are optimized for the driving distance required for each vehicle type through the development of new materials.

As the popular electric vehicle market is segmented into compact cars, compact SUVs, and sedans according to consumers' lifestyles and price sensitivity increases, safety and price competitiveness are being achieved through flexible capacity provision.It is a strategy to maximize both power and force simultaneously.

Along with this, we are also revealing a battery form factor that enhances performance and safety through space efficiency.

This is a battery that has been designed to enhance heat safety by moving the positive and negative terminals located at the top of the battery cell to the side, allowing for the addition of a cooling system at the top and bottom.

Additionally, the internal current path of the battery cell was minimized to maximize performance through space efficiency.
