congatec announced on the 6th that its conga-TC570r COM Express Type 6 Compact module based on the 11th generation Intel Core processor family (codenamed Tiger Lake) has received IEC-60068 certification.


This certification confirms that the module is suitable for operation in railway applications and meets performance requirements even in extreme environments such as extended temperature conditions, rapid temperature changes, shock and vibration.

Customers will benefit from the use of application-ready building blocks with proven durability for a wide range of mission-critical applications essential to their operations.

The IEC-60068 certified conga-TC570r module is suitable for a wide range of railway applications, including Train Control and Management Systems (TCMS), predictive maintenance, passenger information systems, video surveillance and analytics, ticketing and fare collection, and fleet management and optimization.

Additionally, this module is not limited to railway and transportation applications, but is also applicable to all applications exposed to extreme conditions, such as automation, automated guided vehicles (AGVs), and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs).Ideal for cation.

These applications demand the advanced embedded computing capabilities of Intel's 11th generation Core processor technology, and this module provides a certified industry standard design that meets all essential requirements of the IEC-60068 standard.

The conga-TC570r module has been rigorously tested and certified according to various IEC-60068 standards.

Certified to operate reliably over an extended temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, including temperature fluctuations (IEC-60068-2-14 Nb) and rapid temperature changes (IEC-60068-2-14 Na).

Additionally, the module supports shock and vibration resistance according to DIN EN 61373 April 2011 Category 2 (railway applications) and withstands extreme environmental conditions such as high humidity according to IEC-60721-3-7 Class 7K3, 7M2.

Optional features include conformal coatings that further enhance resistance to liquids and moisture.

The highly durable COM Express Type 6 11th Gen Intel Core modules feature onboard RAM and in-band ECC (IBECC) and are available in standard configurations or as custom options.
