Accelerating research and development of core technologies such as big data, software, semiconductors, and sensors.
Plan to discover and support cooperative projects, mutual policy exchanges, and foster talent development

The Korea Automobile Research Institute (KARI) is taking the lead in fostering and developing future growth industries in Gyeonggi Province.

Hanjayeon announced on the 6th that it signed a 'Business Agreement for Supporting the Development and Fostering of Future Growth Industries in Gyeonggi Province' with Gyeonggi Province, Gyeonggi Province Industry-Academic Cooperation Council, Gyeonggi Regional Headquarters of the Korea Federation of SMEs, Korea Semiconductor Industry Association, Korea Bio Association, Gyeonggi Province Economic and Science Promotion Agency, and Next Generation Convergence Technology Institute at the GH Opportunity Power Plant in Pangyo Global Biz Center on the 5th.

On this day, approximately 50 people attended the MOU signing ceremony, including President Na Seung-sik of Hanjayeon and Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon, as well as representatives of the eight organizations that signed the business agreement and key figures from related academia, industry, and research.

Through this MOU, the eight organizations plan to continue close cooperation to develop and foster future growth industries in Gyeonggi Province.

Specifically, in relation to the six future industry fields selected by Gyeonggi Province, the province plans to: △ discover and support cooperative projects to strengthen competitiveness; △ expand mutual policy exchanges and participation in provincial administration; △ build and operate networks; and △ support the development of talent.

In addition, we operate regular monthly exchange meetings and establish a permanent network of industry-academia-research-government cooperation (GyeonggangEstablish and operate the i Academia-Industry Alliance (GAIA).

Hanjayeon has maintained continuous cooperation with Gyeonggi Province as a leading research institute in the field of future mobility, and through this MOU, it is expected to further accelerate research and development of core technologies in big data, software, semiconductors, and sensors, based on the Pangyo R&D Center that opened in 2021.

Na Seung-sik, the president of Hanjayeon, said, “We are very excited and proud to be collaborating and exchanging with Gyeonggi Province, which has excellent industrial infrastructure and foundations, and with industry-academia-related organizations in various fields.” He added, “We will do our best to focus the capabilities of the institute on developing and fostering the Gyeonggi Province mobility industry and supporting related companies.”
