Samsung Electronics and Naver Cloud have joined hands to lead the future intelligent office building business.

Samsung Electronics signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Naver Cloud on the 13th at 'Ncloud Space' in Gangnam-gu, Seoul to accelerate the growth of future-oriented intelligent office building business both domestically and internationally.

As office environments diversify, market competition intensifies, and productivity becomes an essential element of corporate operations, the need for effective, integrated solutions to manage the rapidly increasing number of platform services and smart devices is growing.

Samsung Electronics plans to introduce a specialized package product to provide integrated solutions for B2B customers by linking the latest technologies such as SmartThings and 5G, which connect various products, with Naver Cloud's own solution applied to the new Naver 1784 building.

Through this MOU, Samsung Electronics aims to realize a smart 'Calm-Tech' with devices, solutions, and services that link and efficiently integrate all devices, internal and external solutions, and services within office buildings.

In particular, it is a future-oriented intelligent office that goes beyond simple control of the Building Management System (BMS) and expands to a user-centered system, enabling building integrated control, energy access, and security management.We plan to build a total platform for S Building.

With this partnership as a starting point, the two companies will further strengthen their collaboration by establishing a working group to develop specialized package products for B2B customers and promote joint sales efforts. The plan is to first apply the solution to domestic office buildings and, based on successful cases, gradually expand it to overseas markets.

Beginning with this partnership, Naver Cloud plans to commercialize Team Naver's technologies and solutions, including AI, digital twins, and robots, applied to Naver's second headquarters building, 1784.

Samsung Electronics is establishing a "B2B Integrated Offering Office" starting in 2022 to offer customers integrated, specialized devices and solutions tailored to each business division, and is striving to secure future growth engines.

Naver Cloud CEO Kim Yu-won said, “As evidenced by the recent digital twin export agreement with Saudi Arabia, there is a lot of interest in Team Naver’s technology both domestically and internationally.” He added, “Starting with this collaboration with Samsung Electronics, we will work together to open the way for exports of intelligent office building solutions, both domestically and internationally.”
