Mouser Electronics, a global authorized distributor of the latest electronic components and industrial automation products, is now stocking TI's SoC processors with powerful vision processing capabilities.Mouser announced today that it is now stocking the AM68Ax 64-bit Jacinto 8 TOPS vision system-on-chip (SoC) processor from Texas Instruments (TI).
The AM68Ax are scalable devices based on the innovative Jacinto™ 7 architecture for smart vision processing applications such as machine vision cameras, computers, video doorbells and surveillance, traffic monitoring, autonomous mobile robots, and industrial transportation.
TI's AM68Ax, now available at Mouser, features a comprehensive, integrated SoC architecture that delivers high-performance computing technology for both traditional and deep learning vision applications.
Delivering industry-leading performance with dual 64-bit Arm® Cortex®-A72 microprocessors and a GPU processor operating at up to 2MHz, along with high system integration, the AM68Ax features next-generation digital signal processing (DSP) with multi-scalar and vector cores, as well as 1 to 32 TOPS (tera operands per second) for AI processing.It supports scalability for advanced vision applications through dedicated deep learning accelerators with performance of 1000 MHz (800 MHz) and powerful vision processing performance.
Additionally, the AM68Ax features an integrated next-generation imaging subsystem (ISP) supporting video codecs for multiple streams (H.264, H.265, RAW, 4K UHD) and an isolated microcontroller (MCU) island powered by a dual-core Arm Cortex-R5F MCU up to 1.0 GHz, providing secure multi-display output protected by industrial-grade safety and security hardware accelerators.
The AM68Ax is fully supported by open-source evaluation and model development tools, enabling designers to develop and scale edge AI designs across multiple systems.
