Mercedes-Benz, Polestar, and others announce latest vehicles equipped with NVIDIA AI
Ansys Demonstrates How to Accelerate Autonomous Vehicle Development Using NVIDIA Omniverse

Automotive companies equipped with NVIDIA's technology, including AI, are participating in CES 2024 in large numbers to showcase innovation.

NVIDIA announced on the 9th that 10 companies, including Mercedes-Benz using Drive Orin and Ansys utilizing NVIDIA Omniverse, will participate in CES 2024 to showcase a spectacular lineup of technologies.

Mercedes-Benz plans to announce the latest developments of Mercedes-Benz MB.OS and software-based features installed in various vehicles, including the 'Concept CLA Class' which uses NVIDIA Drive Orin for autonomous driving, at a press conference.

In addition, Mercedes-Benz is utilizing various NVIDIA technologies, such as using NVIDIA Omniverse, an application development platform, for the design, collaboration, planning, and operation of manufacturing and assembly facilities.

Luminar announced that it plans to hold a fireside talk with NVIDIA on January 10 at 7 a.m. KST to discuss the latest sensor processing technology and the ongoing cooperation between the two companies.

In addition, Luminar, together with NVIDIA partners Volvo Cars, Polestar, Plus, and Kodiak I also plan to introduce the projects currently in progress.

Ansys demonstrates how to accelerate autonomous vehicle development using NVIDIA Omniverse, and Cerence introduces CaLLM, a large-scale language model (LLM) dedicated to automobiles that forms the basis of its next-generation in-vehicle computing platform running on NVIDIA DRIVE.

Kodiak is showcasing an autonomous truck that uses NVIDIA GPUs for high-performance computing to process vast amounts of data collected from sensors, while leisure vehicle startup Pebble is presenting the Pebble Flow, a semi-autonomous electric travel trailer based on NVIDIA Drive Orin.

In addition, NVIDIA's partners Lenovo, Polestar, and Zoox can also be seen at CES 2024.

Meanwhile, NVIDIA announced that Li Auto, a pioneer in the field of long-range electric vehicles, has adopted the NVIDIA DRIVE Thor centralized automotive computer for its next-generation vehicles.

Electric vehicle manufacturers GWM (Great Wall Motor), ZEEKR, and Xiaomi have also adopted the NVIDIA DRIVE Orin platform to power intelligent autonomous driving systems.

NVIDIA stated, “With explosive interest in generative AI, the automotive industry will strive to leverage the power of AI across various key activities, ranging from vehicle design, engineering, and manufacturing to marketing and sales.”
