South Korea and Indonesia agreed to smoothly implement the economic cooperation outcomes discussed at four previous summits, including fostering an electric vehicle and battery ecosystem and establishing a supply chain for key minerals. They also agreed to further expand future cooperation to achieve carbon neutrality, including through the Carbon-Free Energy (CFE) Initiative.

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) announced that Yang Byung-nae, Deputy Minister for Trade, Industry and Energy, and Septian Hario Seto, Deputy Minister for Investment and Mining at the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment in Indonesia, held a 'Korea-Indonesia High-Level Meeting on Economic Cooperation' at the Signiel Hotel in Seoul on the 17th and discussed ways to strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries.

Vice Minister Yang assessed that the friendly relations between the two countries have become stronger than ever through the four summits, and emphasized his hope to further invigorate government and private exchanges between the two countries and explore practical ways to promote trade and investment between the two countries.

He then requested the Indonesian government's active support and interest so that Korean automobile and battery companies can more actively invest in Indonesia, which is rich in key mineral resources such as nickel, and achieve mutually beneficial results such as creating an electric vehicle ecosystem and entering the ASEAN electric vehicle market.
