Infineon and GlobalFoundries Extend Long-Term Agreement to Produce Automotive Microcontrollers
Supply of AURIX™ TC3x 40 nm automotive microcontroller, power management, and connectivity solutions

Infineon Technologies (hereafter Infineon) and GlobalFoundries are extending their agreement for the production of automotive microcontrollers, which has continued since 2013.

Infineon announced on the 23rd that it has signed a multi-year agreement to supply its AURIX™ TC3x 40-nanometer automotive microcontroller and power management and connectivity solutions to GlobalFoundries.

This additional capacity is expected to contribute to Infineon's business growth from 2024 to 2030.

Infineon and GlobalFoundries have been collaborating since 2013 to develop differentiated automotive, industrial, and security semiconductor technologies and products.

At the heart of this collaboration is a high-reliability embedded non-volatile memory (eNVM) technology solution suitable for implementing mission-critical automotive applications while meeting the stringent safety and security requirements for next-generation automotive systems.

Infineon's flagship microcontroller family, AURIX, is already driving the industry's transition to autonomous, connected electric vehicles.
