Hilscher, a leading solutions provider in the industrial communication and automation sector, has introduced a new cifX PC card suitable for all industrial applications, including vision systems and robotics.

Hillscher announced on the 20th that it recently launched a new multi-protocol capable cifX PC card in a mini PCIe half-size format.

The cifX HPCIE90 PC card for industrial communication, measuring 26.8 mm wide and 30 mm long, is suitable for almost all applications, from IPCs and HMIs to vision systems and robotics.

The miniPCIe socket is a common and widespread standard, allowing for easy use of Hilscher's new cards without hardware redesign.

This product offers flexible application to all common industrial protocols with a single card, as it is based on Hilscher's netX-90 communication controller.

Additionally, Hilscher plans to release protocols such as △PROFINET IO-Device △EtherNet/IP Adapter △EtherCAT Slave △OpenModbus/TCP △PROFIBUS-DP Slave △Powerlink Slave △CANopen Slave △DeviceNet Slave.

CC-Link IE Field Basic Slave and Sercos Slave, MQTT and OPCUA, etc. Additional protocols, such as IIoT protocols, are also currently under development.

This means that once customers become familiar with netX technology, they can take advantage of all common protocol standards tested and certified by industry leaders.

Additionally, it can be easily connected to various sockets of industrial Ethernet and fieldbus protocols using one of its external network interfaces.

The standardized hardware interface of the Hilscher cifX PC card eliminates the need for custom hardware design to accommodate diverse use cases across multiple projects. Furthermore, quick and easy testing is possible without design investment or research and development. The product includes device drivers for host connection, loadable firmware, configuration software, product support, and detailed manuals.
