July 31, 2014, Seoul – STMicroelectronics (ST), a global semiconductor company serving customers across various electronic applications, has released its 2013 Sustainability Report. This is ST’s 17th sustainability report, comprehensively covering details of the company’s sustainability strategies, policies, and performance for the year 2013, and demonstrates the critical role its sustainability programs play across the business in creating value for all stakeholders.
Carlo Bozotti, President and CEO of ST, stated, “ST recognized the importance of sustainability ahead of other companies, and this has been part of ST’s DNA for the past 20 years. Sustainability is becoming increasingly important to our customers as well. Recognizing and understanding global sustainability issues and consumer expectations, ST provides innovative and responsible technologies and products that meet customer needs. Innovation-oriented companies that are sustainable in all aspects—financial, social, and environmental—play a crucial role in solving global problems, and their value does not fade. ST will continue to pursue this and will dedicate the commitment and technology of all its employees to sustainability, striving to ensure that microelectronics makes a positive contribution to people’s lives.”
