Mouser announced on the 20th that it is supplying Microchip Technology's RNWF02 early access development kit.

With the RNWF02 development kit, users can simplify integration between Wi-Fi® and a host microcontroller for seamless cloud connectivity, and more easily implement home and industrial automation, remote equipment monitoring, healthcare and fitness, and Internet of Things (IoT) applications through a cost-effective plug-and-play design.

Microchip Technology's RNWF02 Early Access Development Kit, available for purchase at Mouser, features the RNWF02, a low-power, 2.4GHz wireless module fully RF certified according to IEEE® 802.11b/g/n standards designed for IoT applications.

The wireless LAN module in this kit can be easily connected to and configured in the cloud using simple text (ASCII) commands.

By utilizing this development kit, you can easily integrate into most applications Rapid prototyping is possible by connecting to a host microcontroller via a 2-wire or 4-wire UART interface using Microchip’s simple ASCII-based AT commands that allow the RNWF02 module to be dynamically configured.

The RNWF02 Early Access Development Kit provides an integrated power amplifier (PA) and transmit/receive (TX/RX) switch with power management capabilities, immutable secure boot based on a hardware root of trust (RoT), robust security with WPA3 and TLS authentication, and encryption capabilities supporting an embedded IPv6 TCP/IP stack.
