ams Oslam, a global leader in intelligent sensors and emitters, today announced the launch of the OSCONIQ® P3737, a new high-power LED featuring cutting-edge chip technology that delivers industry-leading performance with exceptional durability and long lifetime, along with a Wall Plug Efficiency of 83.2% in Hyper Red.

The OSCONIQ® P3737 delivers a market-leading LED power conversion efficiency of 83.2% in Hyper Red, enabling plant growth lighting manufacturers to redesign their luminaires to achieve higher light output of 6.13 μmol/s with lower energy consumption.

As a result, the rate of photosynthesis is significantly increased, crop yields are maximized, and the crop harvest cycle is shortened.

The cost savings are calculated to be 11% energy savings compared to the previous version's 74% efficiency.

Assuming the same light output, this translates to a difference of around €11 more or less per €100 spent.

Additionally, higher levels of light output could potentially result in shorter cultivation cycles with higher crop yields.

Test results show that the OSCONIQ® P3737 still maintains 90% of its initial light output after 102,000 hours of operating life.

This fact means that OSCONIQ® P3737 has the longest lifespan of any plant growth LED available.
