The Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute (KERI) and the Gimhae Institute of Biomedical and Industrial Promotion have joined hands to revitalize cooperation in regional projects.

The Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute signed an MOU with the Gimhae Institute of Biomedical and Industrial Promotion at its Changwon headquarters on the 28th.

Through this agreement, the two organizations will cooperate to develop regional future strategic industries such as biomedical convergence, digital logistics, intelligent robots, smart sensing, and future automobiles.

In addition, they agreed to periodically hold joint events and meetings to revitalize mutual cooperation projects.

Currently, KERI is actively collaborating with Gimhae City, including establishing a 'full-cycle demonstration support infrastructure (to be completed in 2025)' to promote the development of the next-generation high-efficiency power semiconductor industry.

In addition, in the field of electrical medical devices, KERI is leading the advancement, automation, miniaturization, and mobile transformation of medical devices based on decades of research experience, so it is expected to play a significant role in the collaborative projects between the two organizations.

In addition, it is expected that local startups and SMEs can be effectively supported through the 'KERI Technology Startup Center,' the only incubation center in Gyeongnam Province operated by a government-funded research institute.
