SEMI, an industry association representing the global electronics industry supply chain, forecasted in its recently published latest World Fab Forecast that semiconductor industry production capacity will grow 6% this year and 7% next year to meet continuously increasing chip demand, reaching 33.7 million wafers per month (converted to 8-inch wafer basis) in 2025.
