Recently, petrochemical companies have been successively halting plant operations, resulting in the suspension of supplies of raw material carbon dioxide (L-CO2) from petrochemical producers. As the use of carbon dioxide for semiconductors has been increasing, and given the carbon dioxide shortages experienced in 2022 and 2023, there is growing interest in whether the suspension of raw material carbon dioxide supplies from petrochemical companies will impact the supply and demand of carbon dioxide for semiconductors.
