November 14, 2014. Anritsu, a global leader in wireless communication test equipment, announced today that it has further strengthened its PCT (Protocol Compliance Test) solution for Chinese telecommunications operators, featuring the most advanced test coverage in key technologies.

TD-LTE, a Time Division Duplex (TDD) variant of the LTE standard, has gained significant importance following the licensing of LTE TDD spectrum in China last year. Throughout 2014, major telecommunications operators rapidly developed LTE network capabilities to include LTE-Advanced Carrier Aggregation (CA) and IMS Call functions. Anritsu is meeting this increasing demand and is currently a leader in approved test cases for TD-LTE Carrier Aggregation (CA), as well as the only test vendor with approved TD-LTE test cases for aSRVCC’s IMS Voice over LTE (Voice over LTE) related technologies. Anritsu’s leading position in these work items, as well as in aSRVCC’s FDD, was confirmed at the Global Certification Forum (GCF) during the CAG meeting held in Los Angeles, USA, on October 14-15.

Carrier Aggregation (CA) and VoLTE aSRVCC are becoming increasingly important due to the benefits they offer to telecommunications operators and customers. Carrier Aggregation is seeing rising demand in services such as video streaming by providing consumers with the advantages of more efficient radio spectrum usage and higher data transmission speeds. VoLTE aSRVCC provides telecommunications operators with the ability to switch to a 3G network as the subscriber moves while providing voice calls on an LTE network.
