Twinwiz Co., Ltd., a research institute spin-off of the Korea Institute of Materials Science (KIMS, President Choi Chul-jin), has developed a liquid antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal material and successfully commercialized it. With hygiene and cleanliness becoming increasingly important in the post-COVID and climate change era, antibacterial and antifungal properties are no longer an option but a necessity. Most existing solid antibacterial materials consisted of metals in powder or pellet form to which antibacterial components were added. However, such solid materials suffer from issues such as changes in product color and appearance, as well as degradation of physical properties. Twinwiz Co., Ltd. successfully commercialized a colorless, transparent liquid material with excellent dispersibility and commerciality after researching and developing it at the Korea Institute of Materials Science for over five years to solve the problem.

This material can impart antibacterial/antiviral/antifungal functions without altering the color, appearance, or characteristics of the product.

In addition, it has been recognized for its safety and functionality after undergoing verification that environmentally hazardous substances and substances of high concern were not detected.
