The subscription trend is growing in the IT device market. Following the launch of smartphone subscription programs, the subscription product lineup has expanded from home appliances to include AI PCs, tablets, and other IT devices, broadening consumer choices.

Samsung Electronics announced on the 5th that it will expand its AI subscription club service, which was previously focused on TVs and home appliances, to include PC and tablet products.

Samsung operates two types of subscription services: △AI all-in-one rate plan that combines products and care services, and △AI smart rate plan that allows consumers to select only the care services they want for the product. Both provide damage compensation and free repair services during the subscription period.

For PC subscription services, the AI All-in-One is operated as a 48-month product, and the AI Smart Plan is operated as a 24-month product. The subscription target models are composed of 100% AI products, and in particular, all models for the AI all-in-one plan are composed of Copilot+ PCs that meet 40 TOPS or more.

The AI All-in-One plan targets 16 models, including the Galaxy Book 5 Pro, Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360, Galaxy Book 4 Ultra, and Galaxy Book 4 Edge, while the AI Smart plan targets a total of 51 models, including the models above, as well as the Galaxy Book 4 Pro 360 and Galaxy Book 4 Pro.

For the PC subscription care service, you can additionally select the following services: △battery replacement △simultaneous battery and keyboard replacement. Customers with the AI all-in-one plan can receive this service once in the 36th month, and customers with the AI smart plan can receive it once in the 24th month, which is the end of the subscription period.

The tablet subscription service's AI All-in-One plan is a 36-month product, and the AI Smart plan is a 24-month product. The AI All-in-One plan allows subscription to 28 models, including the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, Galaxy Tab S10+, and Galaxy Tab S9, while the AI Smart plan allows subscription to a total of 60 models, including the models above, as well as the Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ and Galaxy Tab S9 FE.

A Samsung Electronics official said, “We have expanded the AI subscription club items so that more customers can experience the Galaxy AI PC and tablet without the burden of initial costs,” and added, “We hope that you will now experience Samsung’s AI usability through subscriptions in a wider range of items, including not only home appliances but also smartphones and IT products.”

Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics has launched the 'New Galaxy AI Subscription Club', which can be joined when purchasing a self-pay model of the latest Galaxy S25 series, and its subscription business, which guarantees a residual price of up to 50% when returning the device, is receiving a great response. With approximately 30% of Galaxy S25 series pre-order customers reportedly joining the subscription club, attention is focused on whether the subscription trend will grow in the IT device market.
