NI and Nubicom Provide 500 Million Won Worth of Software and Technology Support to Hanyang University

NI (National Instruments) and Nubicom (President Shin Dong-man) are providing Hanyang University with software and professional technical support worth 500 million won, and are embarking on full-scale industry-academia-research collaboration focused on securing next-generation technologies and industrial sites.
Nubicom announced on the 29th that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for industry-academia cooperation with Hanyang University's Beyond-G Global Innovation Center (Director Professor Kim Sun-woo) together with NI for joint research and talent development in the fields of 6G next-generation communication, mobility, and AI networks.
The signing ceremony was held at the Beyond-G Global Innovation Center on Hanyang University's Seoul campus, and key officials including NI Korea Country Manager Jung Koo-hwan, Nubicom President Shin Dong-man, Hanyang University Professor Kim Sun-woo, Associate Dean Kwon Dae-woong, Professor Hwang Sun-min, and Professor Song Ik-hyun attended.
Prior to the agreement, a ceremony for the presentation of the university development fund was held at the main building, attended by President Lee Ki-jung, Vice President Kim Min-soo, Director of External Affairs Choi Joong-seop, and Dean of the College of Engineering Hwang Hee-jun, who participated in the presentation of a plaque of appreciation for NI's software donation and the Hall of Fame plaque ceremony.
Through this agreement, NI is providing Hanyang University with graphics-based software worth a total of 500 million won free of charge, including NI LabVIEW (2-year subscription, 100 copies), RFmx Cellular (6 copies), and RFmx Connectivity (4 copies).We also plan to consider discount benefits for future hardware purchases.
Nubicom is responsible for the domestic supply and technical support of NI products, and plans to continue practical cooperation by deploying engineers to research sites.
The main contents of the agreement include establishing a foundation for joint research and sharing results, personnel exchange for training specialized personnel, and cooperation for the dissemination of industrial technology. Hanyang University plans to actively cooperate in expanding practical training and research using NI and Nubicom products, producing wireless handbooks, and technology marketing.
President Lee Ki-jung stated, “I look forward to Hanyang University students growing into innovative talents who will lead future industries by utilizing NI’s cutting-edge software, and as a technology innovation sharing university, we will actively respond to changes in future society.”

Nubicom CEO Shin Dong-man expressed his commitment to expanding industry-academia collaboration, stating, “Based on our customer support know-how and technological capabilities, we will actively support research linked with NI and do our utmost to supply automotive and semiconductor solutions.”

NI Changes the EV Power Conversion Controller Verification Paradigm with FPGA-Based sHIL
NI presented an FPGA-based signal-level HIL (sHIL) strategy for verification of increasingly complex power conversion controllers including EV inverters, OBC, DC-DC, and ICCU. With only the ECU physically present and power circuits and motors virtualized via FPGA, safe and precise verification is possible from the initial stages. Ecolab Expands AI Data Center Cooling Business Through Acquisition of CoolIT
Ecolab has agreed to acquire CoolIT Systems, a liquid cooling company for AI data centers, for approximately $4.75 billion. The transaction is expected to close by Q3 2026, subject to regulatory approvals. CoolIT has been supplying direct-to-chip cooling-based coolant distribution units, cold plates, and manifolds, serving hyperscale data centers and colocation operators as customers. This acquisition is a measure to address the high-heat and high-density server environments created by AI proliferation. Ecolab plans to combine its water management and digital monitoring capabilities with CoolIT's hardware technology to expand its data center cooling business.
