LNF unveils a 'two-track strategy' focusing on NCM and LFP cathode materials.

L&F will participate in 'DIFA 2025' held at Daegu EXCO from October 22nd and present its vision for a circular economy ecosystem along with next-generation battery material technology.

L&F will operate an exhibition booth under the theme of 'Leading the Future', introducing the future battery ecosystem in a three-dimensional manner in a space comprised of three areas: △Status of cathode material development, △Vision for circular economy, and △Experience-based exhibition.

The "Cathode Material Development Status" zone will showcase NCM(A) cathode material, the world's first to achieve a nickel content of 95%, as well as LFP cathode material, the first of its kind in Korea, slated for mass production in 2026. L&F has achieved a compression density comparable to that of third-generation Chinese products through its proprietary production process, securing both production efficiency and price competitiveness. Based on this, we propose a 'two-track' strategy to simultaneously target the premium electric vehicle market and the popular EV/ESS market.

In addition, the LFP pilot line and mass production roadmap established at the Daegu Guji Plant 3 will be unveiled, and samples of next-generation cathode materials such as all-solid-state batteries (ASSB), sodium batteries (SIB), and lithium manganese rich (LMR) will be exhibited to introduce the future portfolio and research and development direction.

In the 'Circular Economy Vision' zone, LS-L&F Battery Solutions (LLBS), JH Chemical Industry (JHC), and L&F Chemo Solutions (LCS) will highlight the circular economy ecosystem encompassing everything from precursor supply to waste battery recycling and next-generation material development.

Participatory content for visitors will also be provided. The "Experiential Exhibition" zone offers hands-on content, including a touch display that allows visitors to magnify photos of cathode particles up to 10,000 times. Various on-site events, including an AI photo event, a stamp tour, and a quiz program, will also be held.

L&F plans to invite university students from the Daegu area to provide cathode material training and new business briefings, and to strengthen communication with the local community by organizing booth tours for employees and their families. Furthermore, L&F will host the "FIX 2025 Secondary Battery Circular Economy Ecosystem Forum" to present a new paradigm for sustainable growth and share the direction of industry innovation with global experts.
