Calterah, a global leader in automotive millimeter wave (mmWave) radar and ultra-wideband (UWB) chips, has been recognized for its world's first UWB SoC technology.

Calterra announced on the 22nd that it was selected as the winner in the electronic components and materials category at the 'Korea Electronics Show (KES) 2025 Innovation Awards'.

The award-winning product is the world's first UWB SoC, 'Dubhe', compliant with the IEEE 802.15.4ab standard, which received high praise for simultaneously realizing ultra-precision distance measurement and ultra-low power consumption.

Dube utilizes MMS UWB technology to improve link budget, supporting distance measurements up to 400m. Its 2T4R radar functionality also enables advanced features such as child detection (CPD). Built on a 22nm CMOS process, it meets global standards such as FiRa 3.0 and CCC Digital Key 3.0, making it ideal for a wide range of applications, including digital keys, in-vehicle and out-of-vehicle radar, smartphones, and IoT devices.

Calterra has proven its technological prowess by supplying its radar technology to BYD's advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) 'God's Eye'. To date, we have partnered with over 30 global automotive OEMs, supplying mmWave radar SoCs for over 300 vehicle models, with cumulative shipments exceeding 20 million units. With over 600 patent applications and a rapid innovation cycle, we deliver highly reliable solutions.

At this exhibition, Calterra also unveiled the Andes 4T4R 77/79GHz mmWave radar RoP™ SoC. This product integrates a multi-core CPU, DSP, and a proprietary radar signal processor (RSP) to deliver superior signal processing performance. Flex-Cascading technology enables multi-chip connectivity, enabling simultaneous long-range and high-resolution detection. It is equipped with features optimized for Level 3 and higher autonomous driving and ADAS.

Calterra plans to use this award as an opportunity to strengthen its position in the Korean market and expand cooperation with domestic automobile manufacturers and parts suppliers.
