Nordic Semiconductor, a global leader in low-power wireless connectivity solutions, has been recognized for its technological prowess and market influence with nRF Cloud, which has evolved into a chip-to-cloud (C2C) integrated solution.


Nordic announced on the 27th that its 'nRF Cloud powered by Memfault' platform has won the 'Cloud Computing Innovation of the Year' award at the '2025 Mobile Breakthrough Awards'.

The platform provides IoT and connected device developers with integrated device observability, management, and location capabilities, enabling efficient cloud-based operations.

Earlier this year, Nordic acquired Memport, a leading cloud platform provider, transforming from a simple hardware provider to a C2C solutions partner.

The resulting Memport-based nRF Cloud integrates Memport's over-the-air (OTA) updates and device observability technology into Nordic's existing cloud services., enabling developers to easily monitor and remotely manage connected devices.

This platform supports not only the nRF91 Series cellular IoT modules, but also the nRF54, nRF53, and nRF52 Series multiprotocol wireless SoCs, enabling immediate access to remote diagnostics, status monitoring, and security update capabilities without any additional configuration. Simple integration allows for a low-cost start, and future expansion is easy.

The Mobile Innovation Awards, an annual awards ceremony hosted by global market intelligence firm Tech Breakthrough, is now in its ninth year. Judges are conducted by an independent panel of experts, who consider innovation, performance, user experience, functionality, and market impact. Nordic's win recognizes technological advancements and industry contributions in cloud computing.
