Hanwha Robotics and Mind AI have entered into a strategic partnership to commercialize 'physical AI' technology.

Hanwha Robotics and Maum AI announced on the 28th that they signed a 'Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for cooperation in the field of physical AI' at the Maum AI headquarters in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, and will begin a joint project to develop a next-generation robotics platform and strengthen the verification system.

Physical AI is a technology that enables robots to recognize their surroundings based on visual, verbal, and behavioral (VLA) information, make their own judgments, and perform necessary actions.

Unlike conventional command-based robots, it is possible to implement robots with autonomy and adaptability, making them highly useful in various industrial fields such as manufacturing, construction, and service.

Through this agreement, Hanwha Robotics will apply Mind AI's autonomous control model 'WoRV' to its robotics platform and move forward with commercialization.

WOB is an advanced AI control system designed based on the VLA model, which helps robots acquire the ability to see, hear, and judge like humans.

The two companies have established a digital testing ground for product testing and verification, the Digital Proving Ground (DPG).o; also co-constructs.

DPG is a platform that digitally recreates real-world environments to verify robot performance in various scenarios, and is expected to play a key role in enhancing the reliability and stability of physical AI technology.

Mind AI is a leading company in the domestic physical AI ecosystem, and has proven its technological prowess by applying its self-developed AI models to various industrial sites, including autonomous agricultural machinery, patrol robots, and barrier-free kiosks.

Through this collaboration, Hanwha Robotics plans to introduce industry-specific physical AI robots and strengthen its competitiveness in domestic and international markets.
