Google Cloud has successfully established a hybrid cloud environment for global market expansion in partnership with Syntekabio, a Korean AI drug development company. This collaboration transformed the existing AWS EKS infrastructure to Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and completed validation of high-performance GPU workload technology, laying a strategic foundation for securing global competitiveness.

Google Cloud announced on the 4th that Syntekabio has migrated its EKS infrastructure, previously operated on AWS, to a Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)-based environment with the goal of modernizing its infrastructure and strengthening its access to global markets.

Syntekabio possesses the technological prowess to dramatically reduce the time and cost of new drug candidate discovery through proprietary AI platforms such as DeepMatcher®, NEO-ARS®, and AB-ARS®. The collaboration with Google Cloud aims to maximize research efficiency and scalability by combining these AI technologies with a world-class infrastructure.

GKE is Google Cloud's fully managed Kubernetes service that automatically manages large-scale container workloads and provides an environment for quickly and reliably deploying complex AI applications. Syntekabio has built a hybrid cloud environment by linking its own AI bio supercomputing center with GKE, enabling it to cost-effectively process the exploding AI research data and flexibly respond to global service expansion.

Google Cloud's data encryption and protection capabilities meet the high security standards demanded by global pharmaceutical companies, and the company has also completed a proof-of-concept (PoC) for utilizing GPU resources required for AI model training and new drug candidate analysis.
