Siemens Digital Industries Software and NEC have entered into a technology partnership to jointly develop solutions in the field of robot 3D simulation.

Siemens announced on the 10th that it will introduce a robot teaching automation solution that combines Siemens' 'Process Simulate' software and NEC's 'Robot Task Planning' digital twin service together with NEC.

This collaboration supports faster and more efficient design of collaborative tasks involving multiple robots on manufacturing sites. While previously skilled engineers had to manually teach robot movements, the new solution automatically generates motion plans using AI-based algorithms. This shortens production line setup time, optimizes cycle times, and reduces reliance on experts.

NEC's Robot Task Planning, developed as part of the BluStellar initiative, is optimized to enable multiple robots to perform collaborative tasks. This integration seamlessly connects the functionality to Siemens' Process Simulate interface, providing a user experience that enables the creation of robot motion plans with a single click.
