ATEN Korea, the Korean branch of ATEN, the global leader in KVM switch market share, is leading the next-generation control room platform by launching a new receiver capable of 4K-based quad display output.

Aten Korea announced on the 26th that it has officially launched the KVM over IP multi-view receiver 'KE8980MR', which provides 4K-based multi-view control and integrated physical and virtual server management functions.

This new product is expected to become a key piece of equipment that enhances operational speed and accuracy in complex system operation environments such as transportation, energy, security, and smart city control.

KE8980MR supports resolutions up to 4096×2160 @60Hz and provides a 4-display output configuration based on 2× HDMI + 2× DisplayPort.

Administrators can configure various server UIs, situational information, and graphical interfaces simultaneously on four displays, allowing them to grasp complex situations at a glance and perform immediate control.

It offers two modes to maximize operational agility.

Multi-view mode allows up to 16 video sources to be displayed and controlled simultaneously on 4 screens. Maximize situational awareness and work efficiency with free layout, window resizing, and window overlapping.

The operating mode supports ultra-low latency-based precision control, real-time Panel Array monitoring, one-click Push & Pull content sharing, and flexible source access through video, audio, USB, and serial independent streaming.

Aten's proprietary technology, Boundless Switching MX, automatically switches control between servers simply by moving the mouse cursor to the screen border.

It enables immediate switching without separate shortcut keys or command input, thereby increasing operational efficiency in environments requiring real-time response, such as transportation, energy, and disaster response.

Additionally, the Panel Array feature allows you to monitor up to 108 server screens (6x6 array) simultaneously on a single display.

This allows for intensive monitoring of large-scale sources while expanding and displaying core servers and important processes on other displays, providing an effective monitoring structure in urban control, industrial automation, and broadcasting environments.

The KE8980MR supports VNC and RDP-based connections, allowing direct connection to virtual machines on VMware®, Microsoft®, and Citrix™ platforms.

Tasks that require a visit to the server room, such as mounting ISO images, booting and updating equipment, and performing diagnostics, can be handled remotely, allowing for integrated management of the entire infrastructure with a single interface even in modern control environments with a mix of physical and virtual servers.

It also supports network matrix configuration between transmitters and receivers, and real-time switching when linked with Aten matrix management software CCKM. It can handle various functions in an integrated manner, such as user/group permission control and equipment status monitoring.

The Workspace Preset feature allows administrators to save and load four display-based layouts, ensuring a consistent monitoring environment during shift changes and handovers. Furthermore, integration with Aten's CCVSR system automatically saves all session records, including video, keyboard, and mouse input, enabling advanced operational management, including security audits, failure analysis, and anomaly tracking.

Aten recommends the KE8980MR for traffic control, broadcast transmission, energy and industrial infrastructure control, security control centers, smart city control, and public and private situation rooms.
