Panasia, a domestic fabless startup, has been recognized for its international collaboration related to CXL (Compute Express Link) technology.

Panesia received the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy's Award for Contribution to International Cooperation in Industrial Technology at the 'Global Advanced Industry Technology Cooperation Forum 2025' held at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

This award was given in recognition of the achievements of international cooperation related to CXL (Compute Express Link) technology, and Panesia Kwon Mi-ryeong, Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO), received the award on behalf of the company.

Panesia co-founder and CSO/COO Mi-ryeong Kwon is a memory and connectivity technology expert who earned her Ph.D. from KAIST. She has published over 30 papers and secured over 20 patents over the past five years.

He led more than 10 national R&D projects and played a key role in securing hundreds of billions of won in research and development funding.

This award was presented to CSO/COO Kwon in recognition of his contributions to international technological cooperation and industrial development as the overall manager of the R&D project for the Industrial Technology International Cooperation Project.

Panesia is conducting a joint collaborative project with European companies and research institutes with the goal of designing and developing a CXL-based memory system.

As the head of research, Kwon CSO/COO He oversaw the entire project process and led its successful operation.

He also expanded technical exchanges with overseas experts through various international standardization activities, such as an official presentation at the CXL Developer Conference and an invited presentation at the Open Compute Project (OCP) CMS.

Based on this, Panesia is strengthening its global collaboration activities and contributing to the development of the industrial ecosystem.

Currently, Panesia is signing NDA agreements with dozens of global IT companies and discussing technology collaborations.

Panesia develops link solutions to improve AI infrastructure efficiency. It has unveiled a hybrid link architecture that integrates various connectivity and semiconductor technologies, including CXL controllers and switches, XLink (an accelerator-centric link such as UALink and NVLink), and HBM. Recognized for its technological prowess, the company secured approximately KRW 80 billion in Series A funding in 2024, valuing the company at KRW 340 billion.
