ATEN Korea Unveils Next-Generation True 4K HDMI Over IP Solution, the VE8962T/R

ATEN Korea, the Korean branch of ATEN, has officially launched its new True 4K HDMI over IP transmitter and receiver, the "ATEN VE8962T/R," in the domestic market. This next-generation AV over IP solution, suitable for use in various control and commercial environments such as digital signage, large video walls, airports, shopping malls, and exhibition halls, offers both stability and scalability.
The VE8962 series consists of a transmitter (VE8962T) and receiver (VE8962R), and transmits HDMI signals at resolutions up to 4096×2160 (60Hz, 4:4:4) with ultra-low latency of less than 1 frame via Category 5e/6 cables or optical cables. Simultaneous transmission of video, audio, USB 2.0, infrared (IR), and RS-232 signals over a single network enables the integration of various devices.
To ensure network stability, a dual-purpose structure that supports both LAN and optical links has been adopted, and an automatic switching function is available to enable uninterrupted transmission in the event of a failure. It also supports both Power over Ethernet (PoE) and DC input, allowing for power configuration suited to the installation environment, and minimizing power cables when using a PoE switch.
The configuration can be expanded in a variety of ways, including point-to-point, multipoint-to-multipoint, matrix, video wall, and daisy chain. Daisy chain connections support up to 30 units, enabling cost-effective deployment even in large-scale environments.
Operation is intuitive, with drag-and-drop layouts, video wall configuration, and scheduling via a web-based graphical user interface (Web GUI) without the need for separate servers or software installation. 720p real-time source preview and automatic device discovery are also provided.
The video wall can be expanded to accommodate up to 80 displays (8x10) and supports display rotation (90°, 270°), allowing for a variety of layouts. It also features audio embedding/de-embedding capabilities, enabling audio insertion and separation within HDMI signals and compatibility with various formats, including Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD MA.

ATEN Korea Supplies A/V Control Solution Integrated with IT Control to Meditox
ATEN supplied biopharmaceutical manufacturer Medytox with an ATEN A/V control solution that seamlessly integrates A/V systems and IT control. ATEN built and supplied the solution tailored to Medytox's specific requirement for "a single-brand solution that enables simple A/V management and user-friendly IT control to create a sense of being in the same space, even in conference rooms located in different places." Additionally, ATEN constructed a solution capable of extending video and USB signals over long distances and supporting video walls in lecture rooms, as well as enabling live demonstrations conducted in clinical observation rooms to be transmitted to other conference rooms via video and audio as needed. The system was built to interconnect 8 individual spaces configured with 14 source devices and 10 displays, enabling seamless transmission of video and audio information across the integrated infrastructure.
