TÜV SÜD, a global testing and certification organization, is partnering with Induk Science and Technology High School to provide high-voltage electric vehicle safety training and begin fostering future mobility talent.

TUV SUD announced on the 22nd that it will begin training future mobility industry talent in earnest by signing an industry-academic cooperation memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Induk Science and Technology High School, focusing on 'high-voltage electric vehicle safety education.'

This agreement is significant in that it represents a strategic collaboration to cultivate practical, specialized personnel required in industrial settings, amid the growing importance of high-voltage electric vehicle safety standards alongside the expansion of electric vehicle adoption.

The signing ceremony was attended by representatives from both organizations, including TUV Korea CEO Jeong-wook Seo and Induk Science and Technology High School Principal Myeong-seop Lee.

The two sides agreed to expand cooperation in various areas, including establishing domestic high-voltage electric vehicle safety standards, providing specialized training based on German standards, sharing training centers and training facilities, and fostering talent in the future mobility field.

Seo Jeong-wook, CEO of TUV SUD Korea, said, “This agreement is meaningful in that it provides a foundation for high-voltage electric vehicle safety training to be conducted in a more systematic and professional practice environment.” He added, “Based on the know-how accumulated as a global certification body, we will build a sustainable industry-academia cooperation model and promote future mobile technologies.”He emphasized, “We will contribute to nurturing talents who will lead the literacy industry.”

Currently, TÜV SÜD Korea is operating a 'High-Voltage Electric Vehicle Safety Training Level 1 and 2 Course' based on German regulations.

This course is open to anyone who needs knowledge of high-voltage electric vehicle safety, including auto mechanics, electric vehicle parts developers, and EV service professionals, meeting a real-world need in the industry.

In particular, we focus on strengthening on-site response capabilities by providing training on the structure, safety procedures, and practice of high-voltage electric vehicle systems.

Induk Science and Technology High School is a specialized high school with a smart city partnership, actively incorporating future technologies such as autonomous driving and smart mobility into its curriculum.

Principal Lee Myeong-seop said, “Through this agreement, we expect that students in the Smart Mobility Department will gain the expertise to play a crucial role in the field of electric vehicle safety,” and added, “We will continue to strengthen our education through collaboration with companies to ensure that students acquire the practical skills required in the industrial field.”

Meanwhile, TÜV SÜD Korea plans to continue expanding its high-voltage electric vehicle safety training based on German standards and practical experience.
