Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI) accelerates smart factory network integration with industrial Ethernet TSN switch ICs.

ADI announced on the 23rd that its industrial Ethernet Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) switch ICs, ADIN6310 and ADIN3310, have received CC-Link IE TSN recommended network wiring component testing (Class A·B) certification from the CC-Link Partner Association (CLPA).

This is considered a significant technological milestone achieved by ADI in the field of Ethernet solutions for smart factories.

The manufacturing industry is rapidly expanding and becoming more digitalized, increasing the need for high-performance networks that can collect and analyze data generated from all facilities within a factory in real time and transmit control signals without delay.

Especially in smart factory environments, networks are moving beyond simple communication infrastructure to become a key element that determines productivity, efficiency, and safety.

CC-Link IE TSN is a next-generation standard that combines TSN technology with the existing CC-Link industrial network, providing precise time synchronization and real-time data processing capabilities.

This allows for the integration of IT and OT networks on a single Ethernet basis, enabling remote monitoring of production lines and real-time control between equipment., supports essential functions for implementing a smart manufacturing environment, such as process optimization.

TSN technology reliably processes both critical and non-real-time data on the same network, enabling manufacturers to collect data from all equipment, analyze it immediately, and retransmit control signals with minimal delay. This leads to increased productivity, reduced costs, and enhanced safety.

The ADIN6310 (6 ports) and ADIN3310 (3 ports) that received this certification are ADI's first CC-Link IE TSN conformance certified products, and have passed certification in both 100 Mbps and 1 Gbps environments.

Both products meet the TSN standard and support core TSN functions such as precision time synchronization, traffic scheduling, and preemption.

Additionally, ADI offers an evaluation board that integrates a switch IC, PHY, host processor, and power supply to enable system manufacturers to quickly develop CC-Link IE TSN-based devices.

The product and evaluation board are already in mass production and being supplied to the global market.

CLPA expects that ADI's certification will accelerate the global adoption of CC-Link IE TSN and promote the construction of smart factories worldwide.
