Global PC hardware company ASRock has set its sights on the mainstream market with its most competitive pricing.

On the 19th, ASRock officially announced its new motherboard lineup, the 'Rock Series', which is tailored to the latest PC build trends.

This series emphasizes cost-effectiveness, stability, and modern design as its core values, and in particular, two mATX motherboards, the AMD B850M Rock WiFi and Intel B860M Rock WiFi, will be released first in the Korean market.

Azrock announced its strategy of targeting “mainstream positions with maximum price competitiveness” through this product line.

The Rock series is a practical product line for 'Modern Users', unlike the gaming, creator, and durability specialized lineups that ASRock has previously operated.

It features a balanced mix of performance and convenience features that modern PC users expect, and focuses on providing a stable user experience in various environments, including gaming, work, and daily tasks.

In particular, this Rock series is Wi- It actively reflects the latest standards, such as basic installation of Fi 6/6E, support for PCIe 5.0, and provision of Gen5 M.2 slots, ensuring high expandability even in next-generation graphics card and storage configurations.

Additionally, it is designed to maintain stable performance even under long-term high-load operations by applying a stability-oriented structure such as Dr.MOS-based power supply, reinforced board design, and VRM, M.2, and PCH heatsink.

DIY user convenience has also been enhanced. Features that are readily apparent during the assembly process, such as BIOS Flashback, POST Status Checker, and SSD quick-release latch, are provided as standard. RGB tuning features like Polychrome SYNC and SignalRGB are also supported, allowing for system configuration tailored to user preferences.

The B850M Rock WiFi (AMD) model, which will be supplied first to the Korean market, is based on the AM5 platform and supports the Ryzen 9000, 8000, and 7000 series. Despite its practical configuration, it is widely equipped with the latest standards, such as DDR5 2DIMM configuration, 1 Blazing M.2 (PCIe Gen5x4), 1 Hyper M.2 (Gen4x4), 2.5GbE LAN, and Wi-Fi 6E.

The B860M Rock WiFi for Intel platform supports LGA1851 socket and Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processor, and provides the same DDR5 2DIMM configuration and Gen5 M.2 slot. It also features a USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C port on the back, enhancing connectivity for the latest peripherals.

Kim Seong-hyeon, head of PR and marketing for ASRock Korea, said, “The Rock series is a mainstream lineup that faithfully reflects the ‘standards needed for today’s PC builds,’ such as basic Wi-Fi installation, support for the latest standards, and ease of assembly.” He added, “We will strategically introduce two mATX models to the Korean market first to support more users to build the latest platform without burden.”

The ASRock Rock series will expand to a total of four models, including an ATX model, in the future, and is expected to secure strong competitiveness in the mainstream market that focuses on cost-effectiveness.
