Nota (CEO Myung-soo Chae), an AI lightweight and optimized technology company, is emerging as a key partner in the United Arab Emirates (UAE)'s transportation infrastructure.

Nota announced on the 22nd that it is strengthening its position in the Middle East transportation infrastructure market by signing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the UAE's Abu Dhabi Transport Authority for joint research and development of an on-device AI-based real-time accident management system and a cooperative intelligent transport system (C-ITS).

This agreement is significant in that it expands technological cooperation to major cities in the UAE, following the ITS commercialization contract with Dubai Roads and Transport Authority last year.

Last year, Nota conducted a local verification of its Intelligent Transport System (ITS) technology in Abu Dhabi, and its technological prowess was recognized by recording an accuracy of over 95% in detecting unexpected situations.

The Middle East is a market notorious for its strict technology adoption standards. With Nota's successful demonstration and the subsequent localization development agreement, Nota has established a crucial bridgehead for entering the main business.

Through this agreement, Nota and the Abu Dhabi Transport Authority will pursue cooperation in various fields, including △real-time automatic accident management based on the Vision Language Model (VLM), △combination of V2I communication technology, △traffic alert and protection services for vulnerable road users utilizing C-ITS infrastructure, and △system integration with traffic control centers and establishment of security governance.

At the heart of the collaboration is Nota Vision Agent, which integrates Nota's on-device AI technology.There is a 'ent)'.

This system is characterized by compressing and accelerating VLM, which requires large-scale calculations, to run directly within the device based on Nota's AI optimization platform 'Netspresso'.

This minimizes delays by processing data immediately on-site without going through a cloud server, and reduces external transmission of video information, providing high efficiency in terms of personal information protection and cybersecurity.

Additionally, the cost savings from cloud computing also benefit integration with Abu Dhabi's traffic management infrastructure.

Nota has already signed a commercial ITS contract with the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority, becoming the first domestic company to do so. Through its collaboration with Abu Dhabi, Nota has once again demonstrated its technological prowess in key UAE cities.

Recently, the company has been expanding its influence in the global ITS market by participating in a traffic control center construction project promoted by Kenya Urban Roads Authority and LG CNS.
