Rockwell Automation, the world's largest industrial automation and digital transformation company, is strengthening its partnership with global electric vehicle manufacturer Lucid by supporting its expansion of its Saudi Arabian production facility.

Rockwell Automation announced on the 22nd that Lucid plans to integrate and manage production operations of major processes such as general assembly, painting, press, body, and powertrain at its Saudi Arabian production facility by introducing enterprise software solutions, including Rockwell Automation's FactoryTalk® Manufacturing Execution System (MES). FactoryTalk MES will play a key role in Lucid's future mid-sized electric vehicle production line by providing real-time production visibility, traceability, and control functions.

This partnership aims to improve operational efficiency at Lucid's factory in King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC), Saudi Arabia's first automotive production base, and to strengthen the competitiveness of the electric vehicle industry in line with the country's national strategy, Vision 2030.

This partnership goes beyond simple software provision to include local workforce training programs.

The Rockwell Automation Saudi Arabia team provides instructor-led training and online learning programs to help local engineers acquire the specialized skills needed to build electric vehicles.

Through this, Saudi Arabia is expected to establish a foundation for sustainable industrial growth and secure skilled workers in the electric vehicle manufacturing sector, thereby strengthening the nation's industrial competitiveness.
