LG Innotek unveils new vehicle lighting technology in Germany, accelerating its push into the European market.
Participating in the Munich 'DVN Lighting Workshop', Nexlide unveils new products and participates in an OEM roadshow.
As technological competition intensifies in the European automotive lighting market, LG Innotek has launched a new product in Germany to make inroads. With automakers bolstering lighting technology that combines design, safety, and communication capabilities, the technological prowess of domestic parts manufacturers is being put to the test on the European stage.
LG Innotek announced on the 3rd that it will showcase innovative automotive lighting technologies at the 39th Lighting Workshop, hosted by DVN (Driving Vision News). The event will be held at the Olympiapark exhibition center in Munich, Germany, on the 4th and 5th. The DVN Lighting Workshop is known as a venue for global automakers and electronic components companies to share lighting technology trends.
The company will set up a dedicated exhibition booth during the event and unveil its new 'Nexlide' product lineup. "Nexlide Air," made with ultra-light silicon-based materials, is designed to be thin and light, making it ideal for bumper and grille lighting. "Nexlide Pixel" features a reduced pixel size of 2mm x 2mm, resulting in higher resolution and the ability to display text and images via vehicle exterior lighting. This product is expected to expand vehicle-to-everything (V2X) functionality, which supports communication between vehicles and the outside world.
Also on display are the 'Nexlide Cube', which implements a three-dimensional light effect through a multi-layer structure, and the 'Nexlide C+', which shows different images depending on the viewing angle.
Following the workshop, LG Innotek plans to continue discussions on collaboration through a roadshow targeting major European automakers. Building on this, the company aims to foster its automotive lighting business as a mid- to long-term growth driver.
Meanwhile, LG Innotek has been expanding its local marketing activities, including holding a vehicle lighting solution webinar targeting European automakers and parts manufacturers last year.
