Nota (CEO Myung-soo Chae), an AI lightweight and optimized technology company, is strengthening its presence in the intelligent transportation technology market by commercializing a "real-time automatic collision detection service" linked to a private navigation platform.

Nota announced on the 5th that it will apply its AI-based automatic sudden collision detection system to the 'Gyeonggi-do Autonomous Cooperative Driving Traffic Information Service' of the Gyeonggi-do Future Mobility Center operated by the Next Generation Convergence Technology Research Institute, providing real-time road hazard information to users of Kakao Navi, Naver Map, and T Map.

This service is the first in Korea to apply on-device AI-based automatic detection technology to major intersections in the Pangyo autonomous vehicle pilot operation zone. Since December of last year, drivers in the Pangyo area have been able to recognize various unexpected situations in advance, such as pedestrians crossing illegally, stopped vehicles, and vehicles driving in the wrong direction, along with signal information before entering an intersection.

It is currently in operation at 14 intersections in Pangyo, and is expected to contribute to accident prevention and improved intersection safety.

Nota's automatic sudden incident detection system is characterized by running AI models on the CCTV itself through AI lightweight and optimized technology.

Analysis is possible immediately on-site without separate server transmission, enabling rapid detection and information transmission in the event of an emergency.

The detected information is transmitted to the Gyeonggi-do Autonomous Driving Center via V2X (Vehicle to Everything) communication, and then linked to a private navigation system to provide real-time information to drivers.

Compared to existing methods of citizen reporting or manual confirmation by control agents, the response speed and operational efficiency have been significantly improved.

Nota has proven its technological prowess and commercialization achievements in the field of ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems).

In the ITS basic performance evaluation, it received the highest ratings for both real-time performance and accuracy, and in the Yeongcheon ITS reinforcement project and the Dubai/Abu Dhabi ITS technology verification (PoC), it recorded a high level of accident detection accuracy at a commercial level.

Recently, the company has been accelerating its entry into the global market by signing a contract with the Dubai Transport Authority to supply AI solutions and completing a pedestrian safety support verification with Sony in the Lakewood area of the United States.
