RTX 5090 and PCIe Gen5 support… Targeting high-performance gaming demand with a CPU power design exceeding 200W.

Dell Technologies has entered the high-end gaming desktop market with the introduction of the new Alienware Area-51, featuring the latest AMD processor. This new model features expanded performance options through support for high-performance CPUs and next-generation graphics cards.

On February 12, Dell Technologies announced the launch of the 2026 Alienware Area-51, featuring the AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D processor. The product has been available for sale on the company's official website since early February.

This model expands user choice by adding an AMD processor configuration, following the Intel Core Ultra 9-based model introduced last year. First released in 1998, the Area-51 has been Alienware's flagship lineup, targeting high-performance gaming environments.

The new product supports up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 graphics cards along with the Ryzen 7 9850X3D with AMD 2nd generation 3D V-Cache technology. It is designed to provide stable performance in high-spec games and AI-based work environments by securing a CPU power design of over 200W and a graphics power headroom of up to 600W.

A "positive pressure airflow" design was adopted for heat management. An internal fan draws in cool air from the outside and expels heat through the rear exhaust. A 360mm liquid cooler and a detachable, washable integrated filter were designed to ensure long-term use.

Expandability has also been enhanced. The dedicated PCIe Gen5-based ATX motherboard supports the latest graphics cards and SSDs, allowing for GPUs up to 450mm in length. Up to six drives can be configured, and network performance has also been improved with support for Wi-Fi 7 and 2.5G Ethernet.
