Samsung Electronics' flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S26 Ultra, was selected as the "Best in Show" at MWC 2026. The award was given through the "Global Mobile Awards (GLOMO)" held by the GSMA (Global System for Mobile Communications Association) during MWC.

According to Samsung Electronics, the awards ceremony took place in Barcelona, Spain on March 4 (local time), and the Galaxy S26 Ultra won the "Best in Show" award. MWC Barcelona also listed the model as the "Best in Show" winner in its "2026 GLOMO Awards Winners" announcement.

MWC is an annual event held in Barcelona by the GSMA, where major companies in the telecommunications and mobile industries unveil new technologies and products. GLOMO is an awards program that recognizes innovative mobile technologies, services, and devices during the event.

Samsung Electronics explained that this product has strengthened the Galaxy AI, security, and privacy protection functions based on the combination of hardware and One UI 8.5-based software. Additionally, it presented 'privacy display' to reduce screen information exposure and the Galaxy-exclusive chipset as differentiating factors.

Choi Seung-eun, vice president and head of marketing at Samsung Electronics' MX business division, said through the Samsung Electronics Newsroom, "We are honored that the Galaxy S26 Ultra won the 'Best in Show' award, the highest exhibition product award, at this year's Global Mobile Awards." He added, "We will continue to achieve mobile innovation that surpasses technological limitations."
