Samsung Electronics is expanding its mobile ecosystem by simultaneously releasing new smartphones and wireless earphones into the global market. The newly released Galaxy S26 series features enhanced performance, artificial intelligence (AI), and camera capabilities, while the Galaxy Buds 4 series, also unveiled alongside the new model, boasts enhanced sound quality, comfort, and device connectivity.

Samsung Electronics announced that it will sequentially launch the Galaxy S26 series and Galaxy Buds 4 series in major countries, including Korea, the US, the UK, and India, starting March 11. The launch will expand to around 120 countries worldwide, and the company explained that pre-orders for the Galaxy S26 series in some countries have recorded double-digit growth rates compared to the previous model.

The Galaxy S26 series features improved hardware performance and a focus on AI features. The Ultra model features a privacy display designed to obscure screen content from the side, and a call screening feature that uses AI to preemptively answer calls from unknown numbers and organize caller information and conversations is also included. This is interpreted as a sign that the AI phone competition is shifting from functional convenience to a focus on privacy protection and practical use.

Camera and editing features have also been enhanced across all models. It includes features like Nightography, a low-light shooting function, Super Steady to reduce shake, Photo Assist, a text-based editing function, and Creative Studio, a creative function that utilizes images, text, and sketches. Samsung Electronics claims that through these features, it has created a user experience that connects shooting, retouching, and generative editing in a single flow.

The Galaxy Buds 4 series, released simultaneously, consists of two models: Pro and Standard. Based on high-fidelity sound and an ergonomic design, they offer enhanced wearing stability. A new head gesture feature allows users to answer calls or control Bixby simply by moving their head. When paired with other Galaxy devices, AI voice calls and real-time translation functions are also available, reflecting the direction of using the earphones not just as audio devices but as extensions of AI interfaces.

Market response is also focused on premium models. According to Samsung Electronics, approximately 90% of pre-order customers for the Buds 4 series chose the Pro model, with white being the most popular color for both the Pro and standard models. Samsung Electronics is seeking to boost initial demand by offering discount coupons, content benefits, and exclusive accessories to customers who purchase smartphones and earphones. The company stated that the significance of this new product lies in its enhanced AI functionality, camera experience, and ecosystem connectivity.
