Octave has been named a leader in the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) assessment by global market research firm IDC. This result demonstrates that AI-based asset management capabilities are emerging as a key competitive factor in the software market for integrated management of facility maintenance, repair, and operation in industrial and infrastructure fields.

Octave announced on the 25th that its solution, 'Octave Atune EAM,' was included in the Leaders group in the 'IDC Marketscape: 2025-2026 Global Assessment of AI-Powered Enterprise Asset Management Application Providers for Asset-Intensive Industries.' IDC evaluates vendors based on criteria such as maintainability, reliability, mobile support, configuration flexibility, and the ability to respond to AI-based workflows.

Octave Attune EAM is a platform that supports work order management, asset tracking, inventory management, safety management, and more in complex and large-scale operational environments. It can operate in both cloud and on-premises environments, targeting industries where facility operation is critical, such as manufacturing, energy, and infrastructure.

A notable aspect of this evaluation was the strategy for utilizing AI. Octave explained that it is enhancing data utilization across the entire asset lifecycle and expanding capabilities to support decision-making necessary during operations through its generative AI engine, 'Octave Aria.' The company also plans to sequentially introduce agentic AI features within this year.

IDC also evaluated Octave’s partner ecosystem as a strength. It noted that the company has established a foundation to address the entire asset-intensive industry based on a collaborative structure that includes independent software vendors as well as consulting and sales partners. This assessment is interpreted as looking not only at product features but also at their applicability in actual industrial settings.

Along with this leader selection, Octave was also named a key player in two recently published IDC MarketScape reports on EAM targeting the utilities and oil and gas industries. With the trend of integrating AI capabilities into asset management software accelerating, attention is also focused on whether Octave will expand its market.
