TI and Nvidia Unveil 800VDC Power Architecture… AI Data Center Power Transition Begins in Earnest
텍사스 인스트루먼트(TI)가 엔비디아와 협력해 차세대 AI 데이터센터용 800VDC 전력 아키텍처를 공개했다. 이번 구조는 800V 직류 전력을 6V, 다시 1V 미만으로 낮추는 2단 변환 방식으로 설계돼 전력 손실과 배전 복잡도를 줄이는 데 초점을 맞췄다. TI는 핫스왑 컨트롤러, 800V-6V 절연 버스 컨버터, GPU용 다상 벅 컨버터, 30kW급 전원공급장치 등 관련 설계도 함께 제시했다. AI 서버의 전력 수요가 급증하는 상황에서 이번 발표는 데이터센터 전력 구조가 기존 저전압 중심 설계에서 고전압 DC 기반으로 이동하고 있음을 보여주는 사례로 해석된다.
