Samsung Electronics’ new smartphone, the 'Galaxy S26 Ultra,' ranked first in evaluations by consumer associations in seven major European countries. It is interpreted that the device has proven its early competitiveness in the European market, as it received consistently good ratings in key categories such as security features, camera performance, battery life, and display quality in consumer evaluations conducted in each country immediately after its launch.

The evaluations were conducted following the launch of the Galaxy S26 series on the 11th of last month. Consumer magazines from various European countries, including Witch in the UK, Que Choisir in France, Altroconsumo in Italy, OCU in Spain, Deco Protest in Portugal, Test Achart in Belgium, and Red & Roen in Sweden, selected the Galaxy S26 Ultra as the best smartphone.

These consumer publications are non-profit media outlets where experts compare and evaluate product performance and prices to provide consumers with the results. As evaluation channels that enjoy a relatively high level of trust between the market and consumers, these findings are perceived as external verification of actual product quality rather than merely as a marketing message.

In the detailed evaluation, functional strengths stood out. In the UK, the security performance of the privacy display garnered attention, while in France, photo detail and color reproduction, low-light shooting performance, and shake-reducing video capabilities received favorable reviews. In Italy, battery life, wired and wireless charging performance, and AI-based editing features that allow image editing using only text descriptions were well-received.

In Spain, durability, display quality, battery, and camera performance were all evaluated equally. In Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Belgium, it also received the 'Best of Test' rating, signifying the highest level among products tested by each media outlet. This means that overall completeness in daily use, rather than a single specification, was highlighted as a strength.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra previously won the "Best in Show" award at the Mobile World Congress 2026 held in Barcelona, Spain, on the 4th of last month. During the evaluation, the scalability of mobile technology, along with features that users can experience in their daily lives, such as the privacy display, were cited as key evaluation factors.

The results of this evaluation demonstrate that the standard for smartphone competition is shifting from simple hardware metrics to actual user experience. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expanding its presence in the European consumer evaluation market by highlighting security, photography, battery life, and AI convenience features.
