Lenovo Korea has launched two new 'ThinkEdge' AI edge solutions in Korea, designed to process data in real time at industrial sites. Amid the expanding use of AI in manufacturing, logistics, and retail, these products target the demand for reducing latency and increasing operational efficiency by performing computations closer to the site where data is generated, rather than in a server room.

Lenovo Korea announced on April 6 that it has introduced the 'ThinkEdge SE30n 2nd Generation' and 'ThinkEdge SE60n 2nd Generation'. Both products feature a fanless design and a wide operating temperature range, allowing for stable operation even in industrial environments with constraints on dust, heat, and installation space.

The SE30n 2nd Gen is a 0.8L ultra-compact product based on Intel Core processors. It supports up to 26 TOPS of AI acceleration performance and features up to 48GB of DDR5 memory with a dual storage structure. It operates in environments ranging from 0 to 50 degrees Celsius and supports an IP50 rating, allowing it to be installed in confined spaces such as inside equipment, on walls, or behind monitors. It supports WWAN (4G/5G) connectivity, taking into account remote field operations where wired network construction is difficult.

The second-generation SE60n is a model aimed at environments requiring higher computational performance. Based on Intel Core Ultra processors and an integrated NPU, it delivers up to 97 TOPS of performance and supports multi-camera vision, predictive analytics, and automation workflows. It combines NVMe SSDs and SATA SSDs to handle high-load tasks such as defect detection, machine vision, and autonomous robotics, while also considering power efficiency with a 28W TDP design.

Features for continuous operation in industrial settings have also been included. The second-generation SE60n operates from -20°C to +60°C and provides a failover function that automatically switches over in the event of a failure via a dual LAN configuration. Both products are equipped with TPM 2.0 and a watchdog timer to enhance security and system stability.

In terms of operational management, 'Lenovo Device Orchestration' enables the management of firmware, drivers, BIOS, and software updates from a single dashboard. Recognizing the growing demand for edge computing—which allows for immediate analysis and decision-making at the point of data generation—in line with the expanding adoption of AI across industries, Lenovo Korea is expanding its related product lineup.
