Canon Korea has set out to expand its market by introducing video production equipment and solutions that enable the creation of high-quality visuals with fewer personnel at live venues, such as sports events and large-scale performances.

Canon Korea (CEO Park Jung-woo, kr.canon) simultaneously unveiled the next-generation cine servo lens 'CN30×40 IAS' with overwhelming optical performance, the remote camera controller 'RC-IP300', and the 'MCO (Multi-Camera Orchestration)' solution, which helps with efficient multi-camera operation, on the 16th.

At the center of this announcement is the new cine servo lens, the 'CN30×40 IAS'.

This product, available in two versions—RF mount and PL mount—is characterized by its 30x zoom performance.

It supports a wide angle of view from 40mm to 1,200mm, and can be extended up to 1,800mm using a 1.5x extender, making it suitable for environments with long shooting distances, such as stadiums or concert halls.

Resolution compatible with 8K cameras and shallow depth of field expression are also cited as strengths.

In particular, similar in size and weight to the existing 20x zoom lens It maintains mobility and portability.

The RF mount model supports Dual Pixel CMOS AF, demonstrating strength in tracking moving subjects.

Remote control equipment was also unveiled.

The new remote camera controller 'RC-IP300' is designed to be easily deployed even in locations with limited space, and allows users to check key camera settings and up to nine screens at once through a 3.5-inch touch panel.

Equipped with a large joystick and iris knob, it allows for precise control of pan, tilt, zoom, and exposure, and the ability to complete initial setup without a separate PC is another factor that enhances practical efficiency.

It supports both IP and serial methods, expanding the scope of integration with existing systems.

The 'MCO (Multi-Camera Orchestration)' solution, which helps automate multi-camera operations, is also attracting attention.

This solution focuses on reducing the burden on small-scale production environments by automatically coordinating the angles and movements of multiple cameras.

An overhead camera analyzes the position and height of a character on stage in real time, and the operator can operate multiple cameras simultaneously simply by specifying the subject and screen size.

Since the sub-camera automatically adjusts its composition when the main camera's subject changes, it is expected to be highly useful in the production of webinars, podcasts, news, and talk shows.

Feature expansions for existing cinema camera users are also being implemented.

Canon Korea plans to sequentially distribute free firmware for five models, including the EOS C400, EOS C80, EOS C50, EOS R5 C, and EOS C70, starting in late June.

Some models have USB connectionsThrough the connection, recording, ISO, shutter speed, etc. can be controlled from external equipment, and the EOS C400 also adds a feature that automatically corrects exposure changes during zoom operation.

Canon Korea plans to respond to market demand for high-quality video and production efficiency simultaneously through the unveiling of these new products and solutions.

Two types of Cine Servo lenses are scheduled to be released in late September and the RC-IP300 in late June, while the MCO will be unveiled for the first time in Korea at KOBA 2026.
