Schneider Electric Korea and Konkuk University have joined forces to foster talent capable of responding to the era of carbon neutrality and energy transition. Both parties plan to strengthen the foundation for cultivating practical, skills-oriented talent through programs that connect university education with the industrial field.

Schneider Electric Korea announced on April 30 that it had signed separate Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with Konkuk University’s Graduate School of Carbon Neutrality and the Eco-Up Innovation Convergence College. The agreements were pursued with the aim of expanding industry-academia cooperation and providing education that reflects the competencies required in the industrial field.

Collaboration with the Graduate School of Carbon Neutrality Project Group promotes information exchange and joint projects to foster talent in related fields. This also includes special lectures and seminars by field experts, mentoring and internship linkages for graduate students, and employment linkage programs.

The focus of the Eco-Up Innovation Convergence College Project Group is on developing education and career exploration programs in the eco-field. We plan to share resources and experiences between companies and universities, and strengthen the connection between educational curricula and the industrial field through practical training, industry-academia internships, and field trips.

Both parties plan to gradually operate experiential programs, such as workplace visits and job-specific lectures, to allow students to experience the actual industrial environment. The goal is to enhance their understanding of key fields, including energy management, automation systems, and ESG management, and to strengthen the competencies necessary for employment preparation.

Schneider Electric Korea stated that it expects this collaboration to contribute to fostering talent equipped with capabilities applicable in industrial settings, going beyond technology-focused education.
