Verkada, an AI-based physical security solution provider, and Philatech, an IT infrastructure specialist, have established a partnership to expand into the domestic security market. Centered on a cloud-based integrated platform, the two companies plan to reduce the complexity of existing security systems and address the demand for security infrastructure transformation across various industries.

Verkada announced on the 6th that it has signed a strategic distribution partnership with FilaTech. Through this collaboration, the two companies will significantly expand the supply of AI-based physical security platforms to enterprises, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, and the financial and public sectors.

Philatech is an IT network company established in 2002 that possesses implementation experience and maintenance capabilities built through collaborations with global IT firms. The company plans to support the improvement of security infrastructure for domestic organizations by utilizing Verkada’s cloud-based platform, which combines various functions such as video security, access control, environmental sensors, intercoms, and visitor management.

In this partnership, Filatech will serve as the distributor to expand its reseller network and establish a technical support system. In particular, it will operate a certified engineer training program and drive market expansion focusing on university campuses, hospitals, public institutions, and the retail and financial sectors.

In the recent security environment, as the boundaries between IT and physical security blur, the demand for cloud-based integrated management methods is increasing. There is a growing trend of managing the security of multiple facilities from a single interface and detecting anomalies through AI analysis. The Verkada platform also provides these capabilities, supporting real-time monitoring and automated alert systems.

In the global market, Verkada continues its growth trajectory with year-over-year revenue increases and has secured a customer base that includes numerous large enterprises. In Korea, there have been reports of institutions such as Woosong University adopting the platform to improve security operational efficiency and incident response speed.
